After catching a glimpse of the Maserati Levante last year, the first Trident-badged SUV is now officially on sale in the Malaysian market. Distributed by Naza Italia, the official importer and distributor for Maserati cars, the price for this Porsche Cayenne-rivalling SUV starts from RM888,800, inclusive of local taxes and duties.
Available with a sole 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6, the Levante packs 275 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Transmission of choice is an eight-speed ZF automatic, permanently sending power to all four wheels. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, whereas top speed is registered at 230 km/h. Maserati quotes an official fuel consumption of 7.2L/100km.

The Malaysian-spec Levante comes equipped with air suspension, electronically controlled Skyhook shock absorbers and Q4 AWD system as standard. Four driving modes are selectable: Normal, Increased Control and Efficiency (I.C.E), Sport and Off-road. Each mode alter engine, transmission, suspension and electronic settings.
Standard equipment on the Levante include 18-inch alloys wrapped in 255/60 profile tyres, Surround View camera, 8.4-inch Touch Screen display with rotary control and Maserati Touch Control Plus with AHA function. The Levante also gets a range of safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Forward Collision Warning and Brake Assist System as well as Lane Departure Warning.
On top of that, customers are able to specify two optional packages to spice up their ride – Sport and Luxury. The Sport package adds Alcantara roof lining, 12-way powered sport seats with memory function, sport steering wheel, sport pedals, ventilated and heated front seats, premium fine grain perforated leather interior, sport rear spoiler and a choice of 19- to 21-inch alloy wheels.
Luxury pack on the other hand gets nearly all of the above, but benefits from a panoramic sunroof and chrome trunk sill. For even more luxury, customers can opt for the Zegna Edition interior that comes with premium Ermenegildo Zegna silk.
Every purchase of the Levante will come with a 3-Year unlimited mileage warranty with 3-Year or 60,000km Maserati Premium Service Plus. The all-new Levante is available for viewing and test drive at the Naza Italia Petaling Jaya showroom.
