After another high-flying year for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM), the company’s product offense strategy this year has earned them no less than five titles at the ASEAN Car of the Year Awards 2016 (ACOTY). Among the five titles, the C-Class also emerged as the third overall winner at the ACOTY, trailing just 2.33 points behind the title holder.
To make things even sweeter, all three of MBM’s sedan line up – the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class – emerged as winners in their respective category. The C-Class was named Premium Family Car of the Year, E-Class as Premium Executive Car of the Year and S-Class as Limousine of the Year.
At the higher end of the price spectrum, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe went up against the Bentley Continental GT and Porsche Panamera for the Grand Tourer of the Year title and emerged on top. If you wish to have Malaysia’s Grand Tourer of the Year in your stable, MBM is asking for RM1.5 million for the S63 AMG coupe (pictured below).
MBM’s success over the past two years is greatly contributed by their localisation efforts and attractive financing packages, and it is no wonder that they keep smashing records after records. In addition to that, their range of Dream Cars and in-your-face AMGs (cue G63) certainly appeals to the affluent few, reaching out to an even wider range of audience.
We at AutoBuzz.my would like to extend our utmost congratulations to MBM for their achievements and look forward to what is in store for 2017.
