Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has added yet another model to their Dream Car lineup, this time a two-doored tyre-shredding beast from Affalterbach. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupe is now officially available in Malaysia, and in typical MBM fashion, early adopters stand a chance to purchase the exclusive Edition 1 variant.
The C 63 S Coupe is priced at RM773,888, whereas the Edition 1 will set you back for RM795,888. As a reminder, it’s about RM75,000 dearer than the four-door C 63 S launched back in October 2015.

The twin-turbo V8 engine in question here is the same kind found on most modern AMG-badged cars, except the AMG GT gets dry sump lubrication. The turbochargers on the other hand, are all similarly fitted; they are built between ‘V’, which helps make the overall packaging more compact and provides better response time. At full whack, the car sprints from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds before maxing out at an electronically limited 290km/h. All this is achieved thanks to the 4.0-litre’s output of 510 hp and 700 Nm.
There are no performance gains should you choose to go with the Edition 1. Instead, it benefits from exclusive yellow decals and 19-inch front wheels (forged; 255/35 R19 tyres) and 20-inch AMG cross-spoke rear wheels (285/30 R20). Standard exterior features are panoramic sliding sunroof, AMG spoiler lip, full active LED headlamps, AMG carbon fibre pack and AMG Night package.
Tasked with stopping the C 63 S are a set of AMG high-performance composite discs (upgradable to ceramic composites), and the rear wheel drive coupe gets electronic limited slip differential as standard. Other equipment thrown into the mix are DVD player, Touchpad with Controller, 360-degree camera and Burmester surround sound system. The AMG sports seats are draped in dark Nappa leather, while the dashboard, centre console and door trims are embellished in either carbon fibre or brushed aluminium, but the Edition 1 gets matte carbon fibre trims.
Bonus luxuries include an analogue clock, ambient lighting, AMG door sill panels with white LED illumination and AMG floor mats.
