The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA45S 4MATIC+ which is positioned as the most powerful model in the GLA lineup has been launched here in Malaysia, priced at RM539,888 (OTR, without insurance).
On the outside, the facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLA45S in Malaysia comes with restyled Multibeam LED headlights, and larger side intakes on the front lower apron, giving the performance SUV a more aggressive look. Also new is the AMG emblem on the bonnet, replacing the classic Mercedes three-pointed star. At the side are fender flares and side skirts finished in body color. These were previously available in black unpainted plastic.
Powering the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA45S is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4 engine with no electrical assistance, making 421 hp and 500 Nm. Paired with an 8-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission (DCT), power is sent to all four wheels via the brand’s 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
Moving inside the Malaysian-spec Mercedes-Benz GLA45S facelift, you get the brand’s latest generation AMG Performance steering wheel, along with a twin 10.25-inch display setup that now runs on the latest MBUX infotainment system (NTG7). However, the touchpad on the center console has been removed and replaced with a shallow storage compartment instead.

Safety-wise, the Malaysian-spec Mercedes-AMG GLA45S is packed with the brand’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite. This includes features like Active Lane Keep Assist, Active Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assistant, Traffic Sign Assistant, and so on.
