A little after eight months after the Macan GTS variant broke cover, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the brand’s official Malaysian importer has finally introduced the very car alongside the new turbocharged 911.
The Macan GTS’ arrival brings the model lineup up to a total of five variants, beginning with the Macan, Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. The GTS sits just below the range topping Turbo, one that makes 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque.

The GTS shares the same 3.0-litre V6 engine as the Macan S, but produces 20 hp and 40 Nm more. Drive is actively sent to all four wheels through the famous seven-speed PDK dual clutch, and it’s 0.2 seconds quicker off the line than the Macan S. As with all GTS models, this Macan: sits 15mm closer to the ground thanks to sportier chassis tuning, gets a new set of 20-inch matte black RS Spyder design wheels, Porsche’s sports exhaust and some black exterior accents.
Inside, the GTS gets touches of Alcantara and the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM). This can be optioned with the Connect Plus module which offers online navigation with real-time traffic info. Just like the updated Macan, Apple CarPlay is supported.
Bundled along with the GTS is a 4-Year warranty and free maintenance package. Its RM710k sticker price excludes registration fee, road tax and insurance. Of course, just like any other Porsches, the Macan GTS can be personalised to any individual’s tastes.
