BFGoodrich returns to Malaysia, launches road and off-road tyres

It’s been some time since we last saw a BFGoodrich tyre on the shelves now, hasn’t it? Effective today, the American tyre manufacturer makes its official reentry into Malaysia with three tyres – Advantage T/A Drive, Advantage T/A SUV and All-Terrain T/A KO2.

The Advantage series is catered predominantly for road-going cars, whereas the KO2 is designed specifically for off-road purposes. The Advantage T/A Drive is designed for small to large passenger cars with tyre sizes ranging from 13 to 17 inches. For SUVs, BFGoodrich is offering the Advantage series in sizes varying from 15 to 18 inches. Pricing of the Advantage series has yet to be confirmed, but we were told that it will cost between RM100 to RM550 per piece.2016 BFGoodrich Tyre Launch in Malaysia - AutoBuzz.my

Those looking for some serious off-road rubbers will find their prayers answered here with the All-Terrain T/A KO2. It is BFGoodrich’s most advanced off-road tyres and has several good credentials to back that claim as well. It is the first consumer tyre to incorporate the company’s race-proven and race-winning CoreGard technology which makes the rubber compound tougher. As a result, its sidewalls are 20 percent tougher, making it more resistant to all kinds of off-roading hazards.

Besides being tougher, it also lasts longer on both asphalt (two times more tread life) and gravel surfaces (15 percent more tread life). Thanks to its patented ‘interlocking tread’ design, the KO2 tyres are 10 percent grippier on muddy surfaces. These improvements are measured and benchmarked against their previous generation KO tyre.2016 BFGoodrich Tyre Launch in Malaysia - AutoBuzz.my

The T/A KO2 tyres are directly imported from the United States and are priced from RM1,000 onwards. The Advantage series tyres on the other hand, are sourced from Thailand. These tyres can be purchased at all authorised TYREPLUS or Michelin dealerships nationwide.
