SpyBuzz: New Ford Ranger Wildtrak spotted in Australia [+Video]

We spotted this handsome orange machine during the regional test drive of the new Ford Focus in South Australia! The facelifted Ford Ranger together with the Wildtrak variant is set to launch here in Malaysia this October, exactly four months after its world debut.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak, a kitted up version of the new Ranger gets the liquid metallic grey grille instead of chrome. Same goes to the door handles, side mirrors, side air vents, bed rails as well as the tail lamps.2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak in Australia - AutoBuzz.my

The larger and meaner 18-inch wheels sets it apart from the regular Ranger. Even the signature orange paint has been slightly tweaked to ‘help it stand out from the crowd’.2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak in Australia - AutoBuzz.my

We couldn’t get inside the car to snap photos but we can report that it has the signature orange seats. Central dashboard houses an eight-inch touchscreen LCD featuring SYNC2 voice-activated tech.2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak (1)

This wild thing is powered by 3.2-litre five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi diesel engine paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. It generates 197 hp and 420 Nm of torque. That amount of torque is capable of towing 3,500kg of load.2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrak in Australia - AutoBuzz.my
