Ford Malaysia today announced that its retail sales in June rose 57 percent from the previous month to 1,001 units, as it continued to regain momentum following implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The substantial sales growth is propelled forward by models such as the Ranger, EcoSport and Fiesta models. Ford’s pick up truck is leading the charge on our shores, racking up sales figures to the tune of 693 units – a jump of 68 percent. Ford’s tiny urban SUV, the EcoSport also rose 68 percent month-on-month to 138 units.

Also sharing the joy is the Fiesta, which saw a rise of over 41 percent to 106 units. Ford’s definitely in it for the long haul, with imminent launches of the new Ranger, the all-new Everest and the timelessly iconic Mustang. They are all poised to take centre stage soon. Also, in case you’ve missed the news, Ford is also offering handsome deals for selected models in conjunction with the upcoming festive holidays.
