Starting from the front, the heavy nose shares the same dual grille design and halogen headlamps. On the 1.3 the Proton wings are finished in matte silver but on the 1.6 it’s chromed. The lower side “intakes” are also different, on the 1.3 it’s blanked out while on the 1.6 it’s adorned with a pair of LED DRL. The front skirting are identical but on the 1.6 they’re finished in dual tone, and same goes to the side skirts as well.

The electrically-operated door-mounted side mirrors are the same with integrated turn indicators but on the 1.6 they gain powered folding capability. Additionally, the window frames on the 1.6 are finished in matte black, as opposed to the body coloured window frames on the 1.3.

Stepping inside, the 1.3 and 1.6 are differentiated by trim. In the 1.3 Executive you get fabric seats, basic head unit that supports Bluetooth connectivity, dual USB ports, dual front airbags, and all round power windows.

The 1.6 Premium adds leather upholstery, audio controls on the steering wheel, Android-based 6.2-inch touch screen head unit with GPS navigation, and extra four airbags. It also gets a push start button unlike the 1.3 that requires a jack knife key. Other than that both offers exactly the same storage compartments and 60/40 split-folding rear seats with ISOFIX mounts.
