Mazda Bermaz Motor yesterday announced the arrival of the Mazda3 CKD, and as opposed to the sole CBU sedan variant offered before this, the Thailand imported 3s now come in three variants – Sedan GL, Hatchback and Sedan High. They are priced from RM105k to RM121k with GST excluding insurance.

Pictured above here is the base variant, the Sedan GL. It gets halogen projector headlamps with bulb-type DRLs, 16-inch wheels shod with 205/60 R16 series tyres and bulb-type tail lights. The only notable difference inside compared to the Hatchback variant is the manual air conditioning dials, and both variants share the same fabric seats. Paddle shifters aren’t available, although push-start button, reverse camera, the six-airbag count and six speakers are standard kits. A seven-inch touchscreen with MZD Connect System is standard, too.

Now, the Hatchback gets bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, 18-inch wheels, LED tail lights and a shark fin antenna. Inside, it gets paddle shifters, automatic single-zone air conditioning and yes, fabric seats instead of leather. For full details of the cars and their specifications, read here.
