It’s official, Mazda2 is coming! Bermaz Motor is having a Mazda Motorshow in 1Utama shopping center from 1st to 6th October 2014 at the Oval Concourse LG. Over there customers can pre-order the Mazda2 and walk away with Mazda Merchandises.
According to the estimated pricelist, the Mazda2 will be offered not only in hatchback guise, but a sedan as well! Tentatively priced at RM 85,XXX for the sedan and RM 87,XXX for the hatchback, our Mazda2 will be powered by a 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G paired to a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic.
Boasting a high compression ratio of 14.0:1, the engine produces 114 hp and 148 Nm of torque driving the front wheels. Speaking of wheels, the Malaysian spec is going to be equipped with 16-inch alloys fitted with 185/60 R16 tyres.
It looks like it’s generously equipped too. Featuring MZD Connect with 7-inch touchscreen LCD controlled by the Commander Control Switch as seen in the bigger Mazda3. Other goodies include Smart Keyless Entry with Push Start, Reverse Camera, Head Up Display (HUD), and even paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Interior comforts include auto climate control and seats that are upholstered in leather. There are only dual front airbags, though the Mazda2 is equipped with Traction Control System (TCS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
