BMW has confirmed two major news in relation to the Concept 8 Series – that the M8 model is currently being developed and it will compete in the GTE class for next year’s 24-hour Le Mans endurance race.
We’ve had our first glimpses at the 8 Series, but all we’re allowed to see here are pictures of a fully camouflaged M8 prototype. According to the President BMW M Division, Frank van Meel, the M8 is concurrently developed with the 8 Series. Expected big fat brakes, sports exhaust with quad tailpipes and massive air intakes. 
At Le Mans, the M8 will go up against formidable rivals like the Ferrari 488 GTB, Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage and the Ford GT. The M8 will get its first taste of motorsport as early as January 2018!
