Sime Motors has launched BYD Certified at Sime Darby Auto Selection Glenmarie. The debut of the official certified pre-owned vehicle programme also marks the establishment of the first BYD Certified outlet in the Asia Pacific region.
BYD vehicles sold under the pre-owned programme are professionally inspected and backed by verified battery health assessments, warranty coverage, financing rates from as low as 2.03%, and nationwide 3S dealer aftersales support.
Certification requires passing a 170-point inspection, a vehicle age not exceeding four years, and mileage limits capped at 30,000 km for one-year-old models, 60,000 km for two years, 90,000 km for three years, and up to 100,000 km for four-year-old vehicles. Eligible vehicles must also possess a clean history free from major accidents, fire, or flood damage, with no odometer tampering and all refurbishment completed using original BYD parts.
Additionally, a five-day buy-back assurance entitles customers to a full refund at the original purchase price if undisclosed structural, flood, or fire damage is identified within five days of delivery.
Supported by the nationwide authorised BYD dealer network, existing BYD owners can trade in their vehicles with transparent evaluations through a trusted programme, making it easier to upgrade within the BYD ecosystem while supporting long-term ownership value.

“BYD Certified represents an important step in making EV ownership more accessible to Malaysians. As the EV market continues to mature, we are seeing growing interest from customers seeking quality pre-owned vehicles backed by assurance and professional support,” said BYD Malaysia Managing Director, Jacob Ma.
“Through BYD Certified, we are extending the BYD ownership experience to a wider audience, while reinforcing our commitment to supporting customers throughout their entire EV journey, beyond just the vehicle itself,” he added.
