The Ferrari Purosangue is unlike anything else — a four-door, four-seat SUV that still drives like a true Ferrari, complete with a front-mid mounted naturally aspirated V12. While it redefined what could be achieved in the segment, Ferrari is now pushing it even further with a new Handling Speciale package, sharpening its already impressive dynamics.
As the name of this new package suggests, the biggest upgrade comes in the form of new handling improvements. Ferrari says they have given the Purosangue new active suspension calibration that reduces body movements by 10% while significantly improving input response from the wheel.
Adding to the car’s theatrics, Ferrari Purosangue now features quicker, more decisive gearshifts — especially in the Manettino’s ‘Race’ and ‘ESC Off’ modes. The changes also make themselves felt more clearly under acceleration, with the system prioritising a sharper sensation of thrust. In manual mode, shifts become more engaging at medium to high engine speeds (above 5,500 rpm).
As a final touch, the augmented engine sound has been retuned to be more pronounced at start-up and under hard acceleration.
To set it apart, Ferrari has given the Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale a series of subtle visual upgrades that hint at its sharper dynamics. These include new diamond-cut wheel designs, carbon fibre side shields, matte black exhaust tips, a blacked-out rear Prancing Horse emblem, and a satin-finished Ferrari script. Inside, a dedicated plaque identifies the configuration.

And that’s where the updates end. The Ferrari Purosangue continues to be powered by its iconic 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, delivering 725 hp and 716 Nm to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The result is properly supercar-fast — 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.6 seconds, and a top speed of 310 km/h.
For now, no pricing has been officially announced by Maranello. But let’s be honest… this is one of those cars where if you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it. For context, the standard Ferrari Purosangue is already priced from RM5,000,000 in Malaysia, after taxes, duties, and before options. With the new Handling Speciale package, expect that figure to climb even higher.
