All-new 4th-gen 2025 BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport announced for Malaysia – est. from RM349k

BMW Malaysia has unveiled the all-new fourth-generation BMW X3 (G45) at the ongoing MY BMW World 2025 event. At launch, it’ll be available in a sole BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport locally-assembled (CKD) variant, and is estimated to be priced from RM349,000 on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the optional BMW service and repair inclusive package.

Compared to the outgoing third-generation BMW X3 (G01), the all-new X3 features a sleek and angular design reminiscent of the fully electric (EV) iX and iX2, especially on the lower part of its front bumper. This design philosophy flows to the rear, culminating in a minimalist rear end.

Standard exterior equipment of the BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport in Malaysia include:

  • Pear Chrome kidney grille
  • LED headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs)
  • 19-inch M Y-spoke alloy wheels in 1035 M bicolour
  • High-gloss black and Satin Aluminium accents on window frames

Moving to the interior of the BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport, you’ll be greeted by a futuristic cabin featuring the BMW Curved Display. This integrates a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on BMW Operating System 9 and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, both angled towards the driver. The boot capacity on the BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport is rated at 570 litres and can be expanded to 1,700 litres with the rear seats folded.

Standard interior equipment of the BMW X3 20 xDrive M Sport in Malaysia include:

  • Comfort access system (Keyless entry system)
  • Three-zone automatic climate control
  • 15W wireless phone charger
  • Interior camera
  • M anthracite headliner
  • Velour floor mats
  • BMW head-up display (HUD)
  • Sports seats with electric adjustment and memory function in Veganza perforated upholstery in Black or Espresso Brown
  • M leather steering wheel
  • 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 12.3-inch driver’s digital gauge cluster

Powering the BMW X3 20i xDrive M Sport is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 48V mild hybrid technology, producing 190 hp and 310 Nm of torque.

This is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all wheels via BMW’s XDrive all-wheel drive (AWD) system – a first for the 20-series of the model in Malaysia – which enables a 0-100 km/h sprint of 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 215 km/h.
