Among the flurry of previews and launches at the ongoing Malaysia Autoshow 2025 is the Chery Tiggo Cross, marking the brand’s entry into the sub-RM100k price point. Together with the preview, Chery Malaysia has also now begun taking registrations of interest for the compact crossover model.
Previously previewed as the pre-facelift model under the “Tiggo 4 Pro” name, the Chery Tiggo Cross on display at the show today is the latest facelift, featuring a design language that’s more aligned with its larger Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 siblings. That includes a larger front grille, restyled headlights, and taillights that span the width of the rear.
From a size perspective, the Tiggo Cross measures in at 4,318 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. For comparison’s sake, the Proton X50 comes close at 4,330 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,609 tall, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.
Malaysia will get two variants. The first is a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that produces 147 hp and 210 Nm of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch transmission sends it all to the front wheels.

Alternatively, there is also a hybrid (Chery Super Hybrid, CSH) version as well. The powertrain comprises a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four petrol engine that delivers 102 hp and 125 Nm of torque. Mated to the petrol engine is a Direct Hybrid Transmission (DHT) with two integrated electric motors, for a total output rated at 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque. It too sends all power to the front wheels.
Some of the kit count includes LED headlights, taillights and DRLs, dual-zone climate control, a rear spoiler, a 15W wireless charging pad, powered driver’s seat, and dual 10.25-inch screens – one as the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay comes as standard.
Differences between the two variants sees the turbo riding on 18-inch wheels, six airbags, and a limited ADAS feature set (only gets forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure prevention, and active cruise control).
While the hybrid gets smaller 17-inch wheels, the airbag count grows to seven, and the ADAS suite expands to include rear collision warning, rear cross traffic braking, lane change assist, multi-collision brake, traffic jam assist, and lane centring assist.
Official pricing isn’t available yet but is estimated to start below RM100,000 when launched in June 2025. You can register your interest at the Chery Malaysia website.
