Exactly one month after its first teaser, Volkswagen has now shown off the ID.EVERY1 concept EV for the (European) masses. This cute little EV bound for release in 2027 will have a tentative sticker price of EUR20,000 (approx. RM95k), plus a claimed EV range of 250 km.
The Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 is the third member of the Electric Urban Car Family, joining the line up together with the ID.2all and ID.GTi Concept. The upcoming cheap VW EV will be built on the new MEB platform with front-wheel drive (FWD), which balances efficiency and optimal space utilisation.
Additionally, the Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 – along with the ID.2all slated for 2026 release – will be developed on a cross-brand basis under the umbrella of the Brand Group Core. This means that the same technologies used in the MEB platform will be utilised in other brands under the Volkswagen group of companies.
“The ID. EVERY1 is the last piece of the puzzle on our journey to having the widest model selection in the volume segment. We will then offer every customer the right car with the right drive system – including affordable entry-level all-electric mobility,” says Volkswagen Passenger Cars CEO Thomas Schäfer.

At first glance – and as seen from the teaser last month – the Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 takes some design cues from the Volkswagen Up and breathes some new EV-shaped life into the overall silhouette. VW even says that the ID.EVERY1 is the direct descendant of the Up.
Size-wise, it’s a little bit chubbier than its predecessor. The Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 is 3,880 mm long versus the Up’s 3,600 mm length, but it is still smaller than the ID.2all and Polo – which are 4,050 mm and 4,057 mm in length respectively.
Moving to the inside, it’s a minimalist, yet chic two-tone interior with coloured accents. It’s a four-seater situation, though from the images, it’ll be a bit of a squeeze for passengers riding at the back. Additionally, the seats – including the front passenger seat – can be folded back to stuff more items in the car.
Up front, a large infotainment screen dominates the middle of the dashboard, which is then followed up with a narrow, horizontal digital cluster right behind the multifunction steering wheel.

What stands out from the images of the interior is the large centre console that separates the driver and passenger. Aside from it serving as an armrest, it’s an open design – like a kitchen rack – for occupants to store and take items with ease.
If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that there is a white box in between where the driver and passenger’s legs will be. “What’s that?” you might ask. Well, that’s the removable Bluetooth speaker to blast your tunes or somebody else’s.
As far as the electric powertrain of the Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 is concerned, VW hasn’t fully published the nitty-gritty yet. However, they did confirm that the concept model shown will have a single electric motor sending 95 hp (70 kW) to the front wheels.
No information on the battery by VW, either, but the Wolfsburg carmaker says the ID.EVERY1 concept has a claimed 250 km range and 130 km/h top speed.
