TOM’S is an institution – just ask any JDM fan. Established in 1974 as Toyota’s in-house tuning shop and factory-backed racing team, TOM’S has celebrated 50 years of racing excellence in various racing championships in Japan. And as TOM’S official partner since 2013, it’s only right that EDIFICE is celebrating their legacy together.
So say hello to the CASIO EDIFICE TOM’S EFS-S641TMS-1A – a limited-edition timepiece designed in collaboration between EDIFICE and TOM’S to commemorate their shared dedication to precision, craftsmanship, and passion.
The limited-edition watch is styled after the historic TOM’S KP47 Toyota Starlet race car, which made TOM’S an overnight sensation with a series of record-setting victories in the 1970s – 22 pole positions, 20 wins, and three series champion victories in Japan’s touring car championship.
Starting with its colour scheme, the white bezel, red and yellow accents, and green stitching on the leather band are designed to pay homage to the race car’s unique decals. The dial was inspired by the Starlet’s front grille and purple cylinder head cover, and the inset dials take after the design of the iconic Igeta wheels.

Automotive and horology enthusiasts will notice more intricate details, too, including the metal band loops that mimic the race car’s side mirrors’ mounting arms; the unique embossed pattern on the band inspired by the car’s aerodynamic B-pillar trims, and even a glass-printed ‘36’ minute marker, as a nod to the team’s ace car number.
As for the watch itself, it’s based on the EFS-S641 SOSPENSIONE solar-powered chronograph, and boasts a carbon fibre-reinforced resin case, solar charging, and sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating on the inside.
