BYD’s official distributor in Malaysia – Sime Darby Motors has further expanded the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker’s influence in the country by opening two new showrooms in Kuching and Alor Setar. Together with Regas EV Auto, the new showroom in Kuching, Sarawak is the brand’s mall-concept showroom in East Malaysia and is located on the Ground floor of City One Megamall.
Spanning 3,000 sq ft, the new 1S centre showcases BYD’s latest models. It is also open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Customers seeking after-sales services and maintenance in the area may visit the BYD service centre located across the street along Jalan Tun Jugah. Equipped with two service bays, the service centre is specifically located at No. 8, Jalan Tun Jugah, 93350 Kuching, and is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday. As for Saturdays, the service centre is open from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The new 1S centre’s official launch ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing, and Local Government of Sarawak, YB Dato Sri Professor Dr Sim Kui Jian.

The Chinese EV maker has also opened a new 3S centre in Alor Setar, Kedah, in collaboration with Hong Thai Motor Trading. As its name suggests, the new 3S centre offers sales, service and spare parts assistance to its customers, and is equipped with five service bays, with three certified customer service officers.
Precisely situated at No. 222, Lot 89, Phase II, Perusahaan Mergong, Jalan Gangsa, Kawasan Perusahaan Mergong Ii, 05150 Alor Setar, Kedah, the 3S centre’s showroom is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Its service centre on the other hand is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
