Foxtron Vehicle Technologies, a Taiwanese-based joint venture between Foxconn and Yulon Motor, has finally unveiled its first EV model, called the Foxtron Bria. The launch marks the formal entry of the world’s most well-known iPhone assembler, Foxconn, into the automotive industry as a manufacturer in its own right.
Marking Taiwan’s first EV model to be produced for global export, the Foxtron Bria is available in three variants: Elegant, Emerge, and Pioneer, as reported by DDCar. Prices start from an estimated USD28,600 to USD36,540 (approximately RM116k to RM148k).
Measuring 4,315 mm long, 1,885 mm wide, and 1,535 mm tall with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the Bria is a C-segment hatchback that measures bigger than both the Proton eMAS 5 (stylised as e.MAS 5) and the BYD Dolphin, and is more in line with the MG4.
It’ll be available in two powertrain options. The Elegant and Emerge variants feature a rear-mounted electric motor producing 229 hp, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds. The top-range Pioneer variant, meanwhile, gets an all-wheel drive setup producing 400 hp, reducing the 0-100 km/h sprint time to 3.9 seconds.

All three Foxtron Bria variants are equipped with the same 57.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which translates to a range of 516 km (NEDC) on the Elegant and Emerge variants, and 466 km for the more powerful twin-motor Pioneer. Charging is supported at 134 kW using a DC charger, which enables the Bria to recharge from 10-80% in 30 minutes.
As standard, the Bria comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9.2-inch digital gauge cluster, rear aircon vents, and a comprehensive suite of ADAS features, including all-speed adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, and forward collision warning.
The debut of the Foxtron Bria follows the acquisition of Yulon Motor’s Luxgen brand for NT$787.6 million (approx. RM102 million). The acquisition will see Foxtron taking over Luxgen’s five sales subsidiaries, retail outlets, and workforce.
This strategic move gives Foxtron full operational control over the Luxgen distribution network as it rolls out the newly launched Foxtron Bria. While the model was previously known as the Luxgen Model B, the acquisition allows Foxtron to pivot toward a self-branded strategy, directly managing everything from sales to after-sales service through Luxgen’s established infrastructure.
