Leapmotor C10 gains new features in Malaysia with OTA update — QDLink, built-in dashcam, Bahasa Melayu navigation

Stellantis Malaysia has announced the rollout of an over-the-air (OTA) software update for the Leapmotor C10. The new software, LeapOS 3.40.32, is described as one of the model’s biggest updates yet, bringing an array of improved functionality and user experience to all 2024 and 2025 vehicles in Malaysia.

First, the built-in 360-degree camera can now be used as a dashcam to record the vehicle’s surroundings while on the road. This new feature comes with multiple modes for recording video loops, and can activate emergency recordings automatically.

The latest OTA update also brings in QDLink support for smartphone screen mirroring functions. Drivers can now opt to use this feature if they prefer not to use the proprietary apps built into the infotainment system.

Unfortunately, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay remains unavailable on the Leapmotor C10; drivers will have to rely on the newly added QDLink smartphone screen mirroring feature for the next closest experience.

The built-in navigation system has been updated to offer Bahasa Melayu as a language option. The new language will now be available in both the navigation screen as well as audible turn-by-turn directions.

The OTA update also introduces a new “Hi Leapmotor” voice command feature, which allows drivers to interact with the infotainment system without meddling with the screen while driving. Unlike Proton, though, the new voice command system does not support Bahasa Melayu inputs at the moment.

Lastly, the steering wheel buttons have been updated to access and customise the ADAS and driving modes. Speaking of which, the OTA update also adds improved safety features to the Leapmotor C10, including optimised driver distraction and fatigue monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Centering Control (LCC) operational up to 160km/h, and improved cornering plus deceleration while the LCC and ACC are active.

The Leapmotor C10 has been recently updated in Malaysia, which brought along several creature comfort improvements, and more importantly, a massive price cut bringing the price down to RM125,000 on-the-road, and without insurance. Price is inclusive with the marque’s comprehensive six-year or 150,000 km warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
