The Chery Tiggo Cross, known as the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in other markets, has been launched in Indonesia during the 2025 edition of the annual Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2025). Two variants of the compact B-segment SUV are available in the Archipelago, priced from IDR 239.5 million (approx. RM65k).
Sized approximately the same as the Perodua Ativa, the Tiggo Cross – which has been refreshed last year with a facelift update – showcases Chery’s “Tiger Concept” design language, featuring a star-diamond-shaped front grille, Tiger Claw LED headlights, and Tiger Stripes taillights.
Powering the Indonesian market Chery Tiggo Cross is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine producing 116 hp and 138 Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox.
Standard equipment includes a set of 17-inch alloys, LED exterior lighting, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features.

In 2024, Chery Malaysia announced plans to launch a sub-RM100k SUV – which was presumed to be the Tiggo 4 Pro – but this has yet to materialise. The Tiggo 4 Pro – in its pre-facelift guise – has also been previewed in Malaysia as far back as 2022.
Currently, Chery’s Malaysian lineup consists of the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 Pro, and the fully electric (EV) Omoda E5.
If the Tiggo 4 Pro does eventually arrive in Malaysia, it might feature a more powerful 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four engine from the Tiggo 7 Pro, producing 147 hp and 210 Nm and paired with a CVT gearbox. This powertrain option is already available on the model in other markets, and could help simplify local assembly works for Chery Malaysia.
A sub-RM100k Chery Tiggo 4 Pro could certainly pose a serious challenge to the Perodua Ativa and Honda WR-V. For context, the Perodua Ativa with a turbocharged 1.0-litre inline-three engine is priced from RM62,500 to RM72,600, while the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-banger-powered Honda WR-V retails from RM89,900 to RM107,900.
