Mercedes-Benz World is taking over KL Base this weekend, July 5-7


Mercedes-Benz World will be held in KL Base this weekend. The former airstrip will be taken over by a bunch of cars from the Mercedes-Benz ranging from high-performance AMG offering to all-electric EQ offering. The event will be open to the public from July 5 to 7 from 10 am to 6 pm daily. The lineup showcases 30 models across all vehicle segments which includes the newly launched models. Mercedes-Benz World will also bring the first automobile, the Benz Patent Motor Car.

Not just that, there will also be activities for all ages, including rock climbing, slalom driving, and more. The event will also offer exclusive test drive opportunities across Mercedes-Benz’s diverse portfolio. Mercedes-Benz World will also showcase interactive displays and expert insights that will further allow attendees to explore the unique features of each vehicle.

The highlight of the Mercedes-Benz World are 3 newly launched models which are the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition, Mercedes-AMG GLA 45S 4MATIC+, and Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC. The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition is a performance sedan with a 2.0-liter turbo inline-4 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine with a combined system output of 680 hp and 1,020 Nm. Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h with the all-new Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance takes only 3.4 seconds and onward to the top speed of 280 km/h.

Another highlight is the German brand’s smallest SUV, the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45S 4MATIC+. Powering the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLA45S 4MATIC+ is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4 engine with no electrical assistance, making 421 hp and 500 Nm. Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h with the performance compact SUV takes just 4.3 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 270 km/h.

Lastly is the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is currently positioned as the top-spec model of the GLB-class range. This performance-oriented SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid assistance. This setup puts out a rated output of 306 hp and 400 Nm. Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h takes only 5.2 seconds and onward to the top speed of 250 km/h.
