Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut breaks 0-400-0 km/h record in 27.83 seconds, nearly 1 second faster than Regera

Koenigsegg just broke its own 0-400-0 km/h record with the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. Previously recording 28.81 seconds with the Regera, the Jesko Absolut managed to do it in 27.83 seconds, shaving nearly a full second off. It also set 3 other new world records in the same day.

In summary, the four new world records set by the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut were:

  • 0-400-0 km/h – 27.83 seconds
  • 0-400 km/h – 18.82 seconds
  • 0-250-0 mph – 28.27 seconds
  • 0-250 mph – 19.20 seconds

The run was conducted at 5 am on June 27, 2024, at an airfield in Örebro, Sweden, with low ambient air and track temperatures which is a perfect condition to set new speed records.

The Jesko Absolut used for the record was in its factory-standard, as-delivered condition. It was also running on E85 fuel and equipped with road-legal Michelin Cup 2 R tires that come as standard. The only modification was the addition of a roll cage for the driver’s safety, and a Koenigsegg One:1 driver seat, courtesy of the driver’s request.

Piloting the Jesko Absolut during the test run was Koenigsegg test driver, Markus Lundh. Data for the run was recorded using industry-standard equipment from Racelogic and verified by Racelogic’s HQ in the United Kingdom.

Koenigsegg CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg said, “This record run validated the accuracy of the simulated and calculated performance of the Jesko Absolut, which gives us great confidence in its ability to outright be the fastest, fully homologated production car in the world. Now it is all down to tire testing, development, and approval, before we finally can make an attempt at that record. In parallel, we plan to see what kind of records the Jesko Attack can achieve, given its astonishing track performance.”
