Earlier this year, the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA made its launch in Malaysia in the form of the GLA200. Now, the new GLA lineup has just received a new addition – the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4MATIC facelift. Priced at RM295,888, the SUV is locally (CKD) assembled at the brand’s plant in Pekan, Pahang.
On the outside, the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA250 in Malaysia is fitted with the brand’s sportier-looking AMG Line kit. The GLA200 comes with the Progressive Line kit instead. The AMG Line kit gets you Mercedes-Benz’s iconic diamond-patterned radiator grille which features a series of chrome pins, along with a new front apron. Also fitted as standard are the 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels.
Just like the GLA200, the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA250 in Malaysia now gets new reflector LED High-Performance headlights, replacing the LED projector units found on the older model, as well as the new Spectral Blue metallic exterior paint option. Round the back, you will find new LED taillights with redesigned graphics.

Powering the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4MATIC IN Malaysia is a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that now comes with 48V mild hybrid assistance with an Integrated Starter Generator. The mill is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) gearbox, resulting in a combined system output of 224 hp and 350 Nm.
Thanks to Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC variable all-wheel drive (AWD) with the torque-on-demand system, allowing excess torque to be transferred to the rear axle when needed. Mercedes-Benz says drivers as a result can experience improved driving and directional stability.

Moving inside of the Malaysian-spec Mercedes-Benz GLA250, you still get the twin 10.25-inch display setup which acts as the digital instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment head unit respectively. These displays now run on the latest MBUX infotainment system (NTG7) and can support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The central touchpad is now gone, replaced by a shallow storage compartment. Users will have to rely on the touchscreen to navigate the infotainment head unit. Also new here is Mercedes-Benz’s latest generation multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather.
