UMW Toyota Motor has sold a total of 8,422 cars (Toyota and Lexus combined) in May 2024. This marks an increase of 5% in sales as compared to the same month last year, and a sales growth of 15% over April this year.
As of May 2024, UMW Toyota Motor’s total year-to-date (YTD) sales are currently at 39,211 units. This is 779 units less than the company recorded in the same period last year.
Late last month, UMW Toyota Motor launched the 2024 Lexus LM here in Malaysia. Offered in two variants, namely a 7-seater and an even more luxurious 4-seater version, the luxury MPV can be yours at a starting price of RM1,228,000.
UMW Toyota Motor in partnership with the Ministry of Education held the 23rd Toyota Eco Youth (TEY) program. This national-level program empowers students aged 13 to 17 from 16 schools nationwide, focusing on Toyota’s 8-Steps Problem-Solving Method (PSM) to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In May 2024, UMW Toyota Motor also announced the third edition of the Toyota Start Your Impossible Outrun 2024, which is aimed at raising cancer awareness. Set to take place at Dataran Merdeka, this annual charity run supports the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) through funds raised. The event will feature various race categories, including competitive races with an RM50,000 prize pool and a Fun Run for all ages.
