Ford’s official distributor in Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto Connexion, has launched the special edition Ford Ranger Stormtrak. Priced at RM181,888, only 200 units of this pickup truck are available so grab it while it’s still available.
On the outside, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak in Malaysia is dressed with a series of “Race Red” accents which are present on its 20-inch Asphalt Black matt alloy wheels, front bumper, decals, and the “Stormtrak” logo. There are also other special design bits such as the auxiliary front lights, Stormtrak-exclusive grille, as well as the “Flexible Rack System” which was seen on the Ranger Platinum.
Powering the Ford Ranger Stormtrak is the brand’s 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine that makes 210 hp (metric) and 500 Nm. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, power can be sent to all four wheels via Ford’s Part-time 4WD which features an e-locking rear differential.
Moving inside the Ford Ranger Stormtrak, you get some Stormtrak-exclusive features such as the Stormtrak logo embroidery on the leather seats, along with Miko Suede inserts on the seats, steering wheel, gear shifter, instrument cluster hood, and console rails. Also thrown in are dual-zone climate control, a 12-inch touchscreen head unit, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, and an 8-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seats.

Safety-wise, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak is equipped with the brand’s active safety features. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop&Go and Lane Centering, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support, Post-Impact Braking, Lane Departure Warning. Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Braking, Reverse Brake Assist, Evasive Steer Assist, and Active Park Assist are also included.
