Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just launched a new entry-level variant of the Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan in the country with the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line. The new entry-level variant costs RM379,888.
On the outside, it has foregone the AMG line treatment for a more subtle exterior design. The wheels are still 19 inches in diameter (albeit with a different design), the bumpers aren’t as sporty, and there is no rear spoiler on EQE 350+ Electric Art line. With this new entry-level variant, the EQE sedan’s lineup in Malaysia is as follows:
- Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line – RM379,888
- Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ AMG Line – RM429,888
- Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+ – RM649,888
Using the same powertrain as the original EQE 350+ that debuted in Malaysia, the EQE 350+ Electric Art is powered by the same single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup that pushes out 292 hp (metric) and 565 Nm. Paired with a single-speed automatic transmission, the all-electric sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with power sent to the rear wheels only.
A significant update to the EQE sedan is the addition of 22 kW AC charging which is standard, even on the entry-level Mercedes-Benz EQE Electric Art. This helps halve the charging time when you’re at home or at any public AC charger.
DC charging is still capped at 170 kW and this allows for a charging time of 32 minutes (10% to 80%). With the 90.65-kWh battery at 100%, the EQE 350+ can supposedly be driven for 682 km on a single charge.
Inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line sports the same standard non-hyperscreen dashboard as the earlier version. A few things are absent in comparison to the new 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ AMG like a sunroof and a Burmester surround sound system.
As for safety, the new Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art is equipped with items like DIGITAL LIGHT, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Driving Assistance Package Plus, Parking Package with 360° camera, and MBUX augmented reality for navigation.
The new entry-level 2024 Mercedes-benz EQE 350+ Electric Art variant brings the EQE sedan’s starting price to RM379,888.
