Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the facelifted 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC. Alongside it is the introduction of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC facelift. The SUVs can be yours at RM1,918,888 and RM999,888 respectively.

On the outside, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS in Malaysia comes with equipment such as the brand’s Digital Light LED headlights, LED taillight cluster, 23-inch Maybach design wheels with bolt covers, and Maybach letterings. The Mercedes-Benz GLS also gets the Digital Light LED headlights and LED taillights, but with a slightly smaller set of 22-inch alloy wheels, at least when compared to the Maybach GLS.

Powering the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC in Malaysia is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that puts out 557 hp and 730 Nm. The mill is mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid system that features an integrated starter-alternator (ISG) that can provide 16 hp and 250 Nm of additional boost. Power is sent to all four wheels via the brand’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) system, allowing it to perform the century sprint in 4.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h.

The Malaysian-spec Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC facelift on the other hand sports a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-6 engine that makes 381 hp (metric) and 500 Nm. The engine is also paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system featuring an integrated starter-alternator (ISG) that provides 20 hp (metric) and 200 Nm of additional boost.

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC AWD system which feeds power to all four wheels, the GLS 450 can sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 250 km/h.

Inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 in Malaysia comes with four seats and is fitted with a host of features. This includes the carmaker’s latest steering wheel generation, Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated powered Executive rear seats with memory, soft close doors, and an animated projection of the Mercedes-Maybach pattern. With the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, you also get the Mercedes-Benz’s latest steering wheel generation and the soft-close doors, but with a total of seven seats.

Additionally, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 in Malaysia also comes with the famous ‘Free Driving’ mode, which allows it to bounce up and down to help with traction and save your car from getting stuck in sand or mud. The Malaysian-spec Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 on the other sports an “Off-Road Mode”. This shows information relevant to off-road activities such as gradient, lateral inclination, compass, and steering angle.
