3v3 TotalEnergies x Li-Ning Cup badminton tournament finals concludes with smashing success



TotalEnergies Malaysia and Li-Ning Malaysia have concluded its first-ever 3v3 TotalEnergies x LiNing Cup 2023. The Grand Finale brought together 31 teams from Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Penang who battled it out over two days (November 18 to 19) at Sunway Velocity Mall for a chance to win a total of RM150,800 in cash and exclusive merchandise.

The Grand Finale comprised four different categories. This includes Men’s Under 30, Men’s Above 30, Mixed Open Team, and Mixed Fun Team.

Winners of the 3v3 TotalEnergies x Li-Ning Cup 2023 Grand Finale are Mohd Amirul, Mohd Zahir, and Ooi Zi Heng of GLS Team, who won the Men’s Under 30 category; Hong Chieng Hun, Ng Kean Kok, Chow Pak Chuu of Team Hou Hooi, who won the Men’s Above 30 category; Sim Han Min, Tan Chew Peng, Quah Aan Yang of Muar Star BC, who won the Mixed Open Team category; Ooi Zi Heng, Mohd Amirul, Lee Kai Xun of GLS Team, who won the Mixed Fun Team.

Former Malaysian badminton players, Tan Boon Heong and Goh Liu Ying graced the Grand Finale with their presence. Tan Boon Heong also joined TotalEnergies Marketing Malaysia Managing Director, Jennifer Li, Sunlight Sports Director, Dato Sri Sam Soh, and Li-Ning Malaysia Business Development Head, Simon Soh in officiating the closing ceremony of the 3v3 TotalEnergies x Li-Ning Cup 2023.

Jennifer Li said, “As we all know, badminton is a well-loved sport and culture that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of Malaysia. It is a sport that requires agility, precision, and determination, and it was truly a marvel to watch over 100 teams play over the past two months from the preliminaries to the Grand Finale.”
