Lotus Eletre prices hiked by up to RM50k, Emira now costs RM83k more



Lotus Cars Malaysia has announced a price increase for the fully-electric Lotus Eletre and the Lotus Emira sports car effective immediately. Prices for the Eletre have been increased by up to RM50,000 while prices for the Emira have been increased by up to RM83,200.

For the fully-electric Lotus Eletre, the new prices are as such:

  • Eletre – N/A
  • Eletre S – RM698,000 (from RM648,000)
  • Eletre R – RM838,000 (from RM798,000)

The new price for the base version of the Eletre has yet to be announced as it will only be available starting in 2025.

As for the Lotus Emira, prices have been hiked by RM83,200, with the exception of the Emira i4 First Edition. Prices for the Emira range are now as such:

  • Emira i4 First Edition – RM1,095,000 (no changes)
  • Emira V6 First Edition Manual – RM1,289,000 (from RM1,205,800)
  • Emira V6 First Edition Automatic – RM1,309,000 (from RM1,225,800)

The Lotus Eletre was launched in Malaysia back in April this year. It is Lotus’ first electric car and it was made available in three variants. With a 112-kWh battery, the Eletre is able to drive up to 600 km (Eletre and Eletre S) on a single charge. In its range-topping form, the Eletre R makes 905 hp and 985 Nm from a dual-motor setup, enabling it to complete the century sprint in 2.95 seconds onward to a top speed of 265 km/h.

The Lotus Emira was launched in Malaysia back in 2021 and in 2023, a new inline-4 variant was introduced. It is one of the rare modern-day sports cars which is still offered with a manual transmission.

Customers interested in the Emira and Eletre can check them out at the Lotus Store at Level 3, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur until September 30, 2023. A Solar Yellow Eletre S and a Magma Red Emira V6 are on display at the store. The Lotus Store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will cease operation on October 1, 2023. Then onward, customers will have to visit the Lotus Showroom in Bukit Jelutong.
