Sime Darby Beyond Auto, together with its latest dealer-partner SISMA Auto, has opened the doors to the largest BYD 3S centre here in Malaysia, in the heart of Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
Set up at a cost of RM5 million, the new Glenmarie 3S centre is the first Class-A BYD facility in the country, featuring a nine-car display showroom and 16 service bays – the latter with a throughput capacity of over 1,000 customers per month.
The “state-of-the-art” service centre is built for BYD’s electric vehicles in mind, and is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, specialised tools, as well as climate-controlled storage areas for sensitive power battery components. There is also a New Energy Vehicle room specifically for repairing all high voltage components.
In line with the marque’s EV push, the new Glenmarie 3S centre is also equipped with various charging points throughout the centre, including two AC chargers and DC chargers out in front, both of which will be open for public use once the charging network onboarding is finalised.
Speaking at the launch of the new BYD Glenmarie 3S centre today, SISMA Auto Group Managing Director Syed Khalil bin Syed Ibrahim said, “We believe the future of the automotive industry is electric and as the number one New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer in the world, BYD is well positioned to be a leader in this electrified future.”
“We are very encouraged by the Malaysian market’s response to the BYD Atto 3 and eagerly looking forward to the introduction of more BYD models in the coming months,” he added.
The BYD SISMA Auto 3S Centre is located at 19, Jalan Perintis U1/52, Temasya Industrial Park, Glenmarie, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor, and opens from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on Sunday and public holidays. The Service Centre operates from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Monday to Friday, and 8.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday.
In conjunction with its grand opening, the BYD SISMA Auto 3S Centre will also be hosting a special ‘Electric Dreams Carnival’ event from 2-11 June 2023, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm daily. Customers who register for test drives are entitled to door gifts, snacks, and lucky draws.
