Audi Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron open for booking in Malaysia, est. RM369k – RM476k

Together with the Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT, Audi Malaysia has also opened bookings for the fully-electric Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron. Both cars will each be offered in the “advanced 50” and “S Line 55” trims, with estimated prices between RM369,000 to RM476,000.

Prior to being called the Q8 e-tron, the flagship EV SUV by Audi was simply called the e-tron. However, with the brand’s expanding all-electric range, it was renamed the Q8 e-tron in November 2022.

In terms of propulsion, both the “advance 50” variants of the Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron get the same all-wheel drive (AWD) dual-motor setup that makes 340 hp (metric) and 664 Nm. The “advance 50” variants also get a 95-kWh battery pack that provides about 410 km of pure electric range.

Up a notch, the “S Line 55” trims of both cars get a more powerful AWD dual-motor setup that makes 408 hp (metric) and 664 Nm. The battery is also larger at 114-kWh capacity, providing 481 km of electric range.

As for charging, the “advanced 50” variants can be charged at a maximum rate of 11 kW with AC charging and 150 kW with DC fast charging (DCFC). 11-kW AC charging charges the car from 0 to 100% in 9 hours and 15 minutes, while 150-kW DCFC charges the car from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes.

The “S Line 55” variants can handle a maximum charging rate of 22 kW with AC charging and 170 kW with DC fast charging. 22-kW AC charging brings the State of Charge (SoC) from 0 to 100% in 4 hours and 45 minutes while 170-kW DCFC charges the car from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes.
