It’s that time of the year again. If you’ve been waiting for another discount to pay off your samans, here’s your chance – the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will be offering up to a 50% discount in traffic fines for selected offences through its Road March 2022 programme t commemorate the upcoming 215th Police Day.
The offer will be valid for one day only, and you’ll have to be present at the event at Dataran Merdeka on July 30 to take advantage of it.
As with previous summonses discount programmes, the offer will not be valid for summonses that involve accidents, dangerous driving, misuse of emergency lanes, disobeying traffic lights, non-compoundable offences, exhaust modifications, as well as those involving heavy commercial vehicles.
The payment counter will be open from 9 am to 6 pm on the day, according to the announcement on PDRM’s Facebook page. The event at Dataran Merdeka will also feature performances from PDRM’s various special units, as well as an exhibition of the police’s assets.
