BMW 218i Gran Coupe gets new Limited Edition model in Malaysia, exclusive to Auto Bavaria

The BMW 218i Gran Coupe is getting a new limited-edition model here in Malaysia, offering a variety of additional equipment and aesthetic upgrade parts for the compact model. Just like the limited-edition BMW X5 with M Performance parts, however, the new model will be exclusive to Auto Bavaria dealerships nationwide.

Three different packages will be available to choose from: “Aesthetics”, “Signature Sound”, and “Best of Both Worlds”, with only 50 units offered in Malaysia. Pricing ranges from RM227,800 to RM233,800 depending on package, but will all come with complimentary window tint, and a Sttoke Reusable Ceramic Cup.

The Aesthetics package (RM228,800) comes equipped with several M Performance Parts to jazz up the looks of your car, including a gloss black mesh grille with a similar design to the M340i, carbon fibre wing mirror caps, a black boot lid ducktail spoiler, and puddle lights that project a BMW M logo onto the ground when the doors are ajar. Also included are petrol vouchers worth RM3,000 to sweeten the deal even further.

The Signature Sound package at RM227,800, meanwhile, includes the more premium Harman Kardon sound system, alongside a complimentary Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker to take the party outside too. As the name suggests, the Best of Both World package nets you all of the above, at a price of RM233,800.

Aside from these additional items, the rest of the car is unchanged from the base car here in Malaysia, with standard equipment including LED headlights, 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, black Dakota leather upholstery, as well as the BMW Live Cockpit Professional system with twin 10.25-inch displays.

Motivation comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that makes 140 hp and 220 Nm of torque, with power sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox for a 0-100 km/h time of 8.7 seconds, and a rated top speed of 213 km/h.
