Special-edition Porsche Taycan GTS revealed to celebrate the Hockenheimring circuit

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the famed Hockenheimring race track, Porsche has introduced the first special edition of their electric performance car, the Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition

The car is painted in a unique colour called Stone Grey – the first time in a Taycan – and was developed by Porsche’s Paint To Sample colour programme along with Bronzite accents that can be seen on the side still trim, rear diffuser, and the badge at the rear.

Another one of its key features includes the 21-inch Mission E designed wheels that are also painted in Stone Grey.

Moving inside, Porsche Exclusive Manufactur has given the cabin special treatment with intricate details. It gets Island Green stitching to contrast the black leather interior and floor mats, making it the first of its kind in a Taycan.

Open-Pore Paldo Wood is used for decorative trims while the selector level, cup holders,  and air vents on the driver and passenger sides are all finished in a Bronzite colour.

To top it all off, the Hockenheimring anniversary logo is beautifully embossed onto the centre console armrest – one of the main highlights of the interior.

Owners of the Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition will be given exclusive access to the Hockenheimring. By simply showing the key of the car that comes with an anniversary logo printed on it, owners would be allowed to drive directly to the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) located inside the Hockenheimring race track.

Apart from aesthetic changes, the special edition does not have any performance upgrades over the normal Taycan GTS. This means that it’s powered by a 93.4 kw/h battery to drive two electric motors located at the front and rear axle producing a total of 598hp and 849 Nm, for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds.

Porsche says that the special edition model will only be sold in Germany and some European markets but prices were not released.
