Video: 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer 10-seater MPV launched in Malaysia – 5 Things

It hasn’t even been two weeks since Hyundai unveiled the all-new Staria here in Malaysia, but Mercedes-Benz has already hit back with the launch of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer here in Malaysia, priced at RM342,036 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the SST exemptions.

Unlike the Staria, the Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer isn’t designed as an outright luxury vehicle. Instead, it’s very much focused on one thing – the ability to ferry around 10 people with ease. Yup, that’s right – the Vito Tourer is offered as standard in a 10-seater configuration, but its rear seats are all mounted on rails to let you configure it any way you like!

Unlike the previous Vito Tourer that was offered here in Malaysia, the 2021 iteration that’s brought in as a Hap Seng Star exclusive will be powered by a petrol engine – specifically the M274 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four mill, paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox to send 211 hp and 350 Nm of torque to the rear wheels.

While there’s not a whole lot of luxuries on board, the new Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer is still equipped with the full nine-yards of advanced driver assistance features to make long distance drives a breeze. These include an adaptive cruise control system with stop-and-go functionality, autonomous emergency braking, Lane Keeping Assist, and High Beam Assist Plus, among many others.

What else is new? Well, watch the video above to find out!
