Pagani’s new Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta turns the already-extreme supercar up to 11

It’s hard to believe, but the Pagani Huayra, is already 10-years old – where did the time go? Anyway, to mark this momentous occasion, the Italian supercar maker will be unveiling a special “Pacchetto Tempesta” (Storm Package) edition of its 20-units-only Huayra BC at the 2021 Monterey Car Week.

In essence, the Pacchetto Tempesta takes the already hardcore Huayra BC, and turns it up one notch higher – both inside and out. Take for example, the Mercedes-AMG-sourced 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which has been bumped up in power by over 8% (!), now making 827 hp and 1,100 Nm of torque.

If that figure sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same exact power output as the Pagani Huayra Imola, a limited edition model that was restricted to just five units. And just because it’s a special engine, the Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta also gets a new six-pipe exhaust system – four in the iconic central stack, and two at the bottom – to fully extend the engine’s vocal cords.

Take a look at the Pagani Huayra R, a naturally-aspirated V12 beast designed specifically for track use only!

Other enhancements on the Pacchetto Tempesta edition include a new rear wing with an integrated central fin, alongside a new front splitter with a dedicated air intake to maximise aerodynamic efficiency. A new set of Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres were also specifically formulated for the Pacchetto Tempesta, using modelling from Formula 1 tech.

The Pagani Huayra Tricolore is a RM27 million statement of national pride. Check it out here!

Pagani says that the package is designed to further unleash the car’s “true racing attitude”, although its list of upgrades also includes things like a new set of suspension and a new “Soft Driving” mode, designed specifically to enhance comfort… so, the best of both worlds? Well, we’ll never get to drive one, so I guess we’ll just have to take their word for it.
