Following the update the Tiguan Allspace R-Line received earlier this year, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has also now given the base Tiguan Allspace Highline variant a similar model-year refresh.
The price tag for the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline remains unchanged at RM165,031 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the SST exemptions. A five-year unlimited-mileage warranty is also included in the price, alongside a three-year/45,000 km free maintenance package.
On the outside, the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline gets a new ‘Nizza’ alloy wheels design, although still sized 18-inches in diameter. Over at the back, the LED tail lights also now get the 3D light signature, the same ones found on the range-topping R-Line variant.
Inside, the Highline mirrors the changes of the 2021 Tiguan Allspace R-Line with new USB-C charging ports, replacing all existing USB-A items. The eight-inch touchscreen Composition Media infotainment display has also been updated with a new voice command function.
Functionality wise, the Composition Media head unit offers the standard App-Connect feature, with support for wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity; the higher-end R-Line meanwhile gets wireless connectivity for both.
Aside from these changes, the rest of the Highline’s spec sheet remains identical from before. Standard equipment include LED headlights with LED daytime-running lights, an 11.7-inch digital instrument cluster, tri-zone automatic climate control, Vienna leather upholstery with 12-way powered driver’s seats, among others.
The powertrain is also unchanged from before. For the Tiguan Allspace Highline, a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine sends 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed DSG wet dual-clutch transmission.
As part of VPCM’s Raya-Raya promotions, the Tiguan Allspace Highline is currently being offered with a RM1,000 duit raya cash rebate, along with an additional RM3,500 in eShowroom savings. The Raya-Raya promotion runs from now until the 13th of June.
