Porsche unveils special edition 911 Turbo S to celebrate 20 years in China

Porsche has unveiled a special edition of their most trouble-free model at the Shanghai motor show to celebrate 20 years of the brand’s presence in China and you’ve guessed it right, it’s literally called the 20 Years Porsche China Edition.

The commemorative model is based on the 911 Turbo S, with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat six serving up 650 hp and 800 Nm via an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox.

With plenty of traction from its all-wheel drive system, the fastest 911 to date will obliterate the 0 to 100 km/h run in just 2.7 seconds, before hitting its 330 km/h top speed.

The special edition stands out with Porsche and the number “20” liveries on the side, complete with a unique “20 Years Porsche China Edition” badge on the rear glass.

The special edition model, made by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, also gets racing stripes that run along the centre of the car and a slightly different rear spoiler; with kinks on the edges.

The 20 Years Porsche China Edition 911 Turbo S is expected to go for around 3.1 million yuan (approx. RM1.9 million).
