In light of the financial impact post the Covid-19 pandemic, GoCar Malaysia has now introduced several new and enhanced services to offer customers greater savings for customers, while offering the same convenience as owning their own private cars.
First, the pay-by-the-minute one-way trips, previously available only at Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya, has now been expanded across most of Selangor to include the following new areas: Shah Alam, Sepang, Ampang Jaya, Kajang, Selayang, and Klang.
Priced at RM0.17 per minute, and charged according to your usage with no minimum period, GoCar says these one-way trips are ideal for shorter drives such as a quick run to the supermarket.
Thanks to a partnership with Smart Selangor Parking and Flexi Parking, customers can also enjoy free street parking, either when they’re using the car, or when returning after their trip – at any location of their choice.
The fees will be capped at a maximum of 10 hours per day, and for extra protection for their customers, all one-way trips are covered by a Collision Damage Waiver Lite package in case of any unfortunate incidents.
Users are not required to make any advanced bookings and there are no mileage caps. They only need to turn on the GoCar app to find the nearest available vehicle to them and the car is theirs to drive for a long as they need it.
GoCar has also unveiled new longer-term round trip rentals for selected models in its stable, specifically for longer durations of three days and more.
The new service is available for the Nissan Almera, Serena, Teana, and Renault Captur, with pricing starting at RM55 per day – booking fees are tiered, so the longer the booking is for, the lower the daily rates.
