Video: All-new Nissan Almera 1.0L Turbo, First Look

Nissan has just previewed the all-new Almera turbo, where it is now open for booking. There are three variants of the all-new Almera – the VL, VLP, and VLT – with prices starting from an estimated RM8X,XXX for the lower two variants and RM9X,XXX for the VLT variant.

The 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine in the Almera makes 100 hp and 152 Nm of torque. The new engine is paired to an XTronic CVT gearbox for a fuel consumption rating of 5.4L/100km. The engine comes with a host of new technologies; one of which is the Mirror Bore Coating technology adopted from the Nissan GT-R.

Nissan has been extremely generous with the equipment on the Almera Turbo as well; not only do all variants come with a turbocharged engine, partly cause Nissan does not have other engine options available, but everyone model also comes with autonomous emergency braking.

The only difference between the highest spec variant and the lower two variants of the Almera turbo is that the former gets LED headlamps, fog lights and daytime running lights along with an Intelligent Around View Monitor, Intelligent Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Cruise Control.

Aesthetically, the VLT variant also differentiates itself from the lower two variants with a black trunk lid spoiler. 16-inch dual-tone wheels are reserved for the top two variants while the VL variant comes with a 15-inch set.

As for the rest, we’ll leave you to find out in the video!
