Nissan to resume operations at 10 service centres during MCO

Edaran Tan Chong Motor, the franchise holder for Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, announced today that 10 of its Nissan service centres operated by Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis (TCEAS) have received approval from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to resume operations during the extended Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

The TCEAS service centres selected to operate during this period will adopt a ‘Drop-off and Pick-up’ system, with services rendered via an appointment-only basis. Customers will not be allowed to wait at the service centres.

In order to safeguard the health and safety of its customers and personnel, strict precautionary measures will be enforced at all TCEAS service centres. These include temperature screening for all individuals, regular disinfection of the premises, and use of face mask and gloves by all staff.

Face masks and hand sanitisers will also be freely available to customers, while all vehicles will undergo sanitisation before and after the service. TCEAS also encourages the use of contactless payment during this period.

Service appointments can be made via the DriveOn mobile application, TCEAS website, or Nissan Customer Care Centre hotline at 1800-88-3838. In order to adhere to the 10 km travel limit as imposed by the MCO, Nissan strongly advises customers to select the nearest service centre available.

Previously, ETCM announced that it will extend the vehicle warranties expiring during the MCO by an additional 30 days from the last day of the MCO period. A grace period of 30 days will also be given to owners who have missed their scheduled service appointment due date due to the MCO.
