In case you’re not aware, the MX-5 name has been in existence for over 40 years now and to celebrate this, Mazda UK has revealed the R-Sport special edition which will be limited to 150 units.
It comes with a Polymetal Grey metallic exterior colour which is usually a cost-option and is complemented with a grey soft-top hood although we’re not convinced with the colour scheme to be honest.
Rounding up the exterior are black side mirror caps and 16-inch RAYS gunmetal alloys – the latter being the single most appealing item in the car.
Step in and you’d be greeted with burgundy Nappa leather seats and treated to features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and heated seats. The R-Sport is priced at £27,700 (approx. RM150k) and is now open for online booking.
The R-Sport is powered with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine with 132 hp and 152 Nm, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels.
