The Ford F-150 “AT44” is built by Arctic Trucks and if that company sounds familiar to you, that’s because they’re the same people that built the two Toyota Hilux used by Jeremy Clarkson and James May and their Top Gear crew in their Arctic expedition special.

Safe to say, these guys are well established when it comes to building the biggest and baddest trucks to explore the roughest, coldest, ice-laden landscapes on this planet. Look them up and you’d realise that the Toyota Hilux isn’t their only “Arctic explorer of choice”.

Among the 4x4s they modify and prep to face the white death that is the Arctic include the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Isuzu D-Max, the Nissan Navara and Patrol, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and even the Lexus 570. Check them out here!

While the company has meddled with Ford’s pick-up, it has only been limited to the F-350 but this Ford F-150 “AT44”, named after its 44-inch tyre conversion according to Motor1.com, should mark a new beginning although not much else is known about the so far as the company has only so far teased its existence on their Facebook page.
