Italian aiport gets a RWD Huracan LP580-2 as airplane chaperone

Automobili Lamborghini has extended its collaboration with Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna, Italy for the 6th time with nothing less than flamboyance to show for.

After generously delivering a Lamborghini a year to the airport for official use since 2013, the company has continued the tradition with the 4th Huracan LP580-2 RWD in six years.

It’s also the same model gifted to the Pope recently while other models delivered to the airport in the past included the Aventador LP700-4 and Huracan LP610-4.

The new “Follow-Me” Huracan will be used to lead aircrafts taxiing to the runway or to their parking stands.

Dressed with a special livery designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the RWD Huracan’s side profile is perhaps the most attractive with decals that mimic the supercar’s tail lights, coloured by the red, white and green of the Italian flag.

The 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 Huracan with 580 hp and 540 Nm is also equipped with an orange light-bar on the roof and a radio to stay connected with the control tower.
