In the hands of racing driver Vincent Radermecker, the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is again at the top of the chart for the quickest four-door production car to lap ‘The Green Hell’.

The XE SV Project 8’s new record for its 20.6km Nurburgring Nordschleife lap now stands at 7min 18.361sec, beating the previous record by 2.9 seconds set by the same driver and car back in November 2017.

As you already know the SV Project 8 is the maddest form of the Jaguar XE with 592 hp from a supercharged 5.0 litre V8. Hand-assembled by Jaguar’s SVO arm in Warwickshire UK, it’s capable of sprinting from zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h.

Apart from setting the Nurburgring Nordschleife lap record, the XE SV Project 8 also holds the record for the fastest production sedan at the Laguna Seca.
