Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has appointed Michael Jopp to head sales and marketing for Malaysia and selected South East Asian countries following the reassignment of Mark Raine, who has since assumed the role of Vice President of Product and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Korea (catch his ‘exit interview’ below).
Prior to joining Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, Jopp served as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in India for close to three years. During his time there, Mercedes Benz India topped JD Power’s Sales Satisfaction ranking and saw various new digital initiatives introduced.
Jopp was an instrumental in maintaining Mercedes Benz India’s lead in the luxury vehicle segment for four consecutive years. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, the majority of which with Daimler and Mercedes-Benz in Germany.
Now, we wonder which model will be Jopp’s first launch? The 421 hp, 500 Nm Mercedes-AMG A45 S would kick things off rather nicely.
