Last week, BMW Malaysia introduced to the local market the new BMW M2 Competition with an asking price of RM626,800, at its natural habitat – the Sepang International Circuit.
And as with the previous unveiling of BMW M cars at Sepang, we were also treated to an immediate test drive of the new car through countless laps around our internationally-acclaimed circuit.
The M2 Competition has been fitted with a de-tuned S55 3.0-litre turbocharged engine from the M3 and M4, making 410 hp and 550 Nm.
Transferring power to the rear wheels is the task of a 7-speed M dual-clutch transmission. 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.4 seconds onward to an electronically-limted top speed of 250 km/h.
Just for fun, BMW Malaysia brought Christmas forward by throwing in a few M5s and an M4 for us to sample and we’ve got a drive impression video for your viewing pleasure coming up real soon!
