To be honest, I wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about attending the launch of the new DS7 Crossback having spent the entire day at the Sepang International Circuit spanking the BMW M2 and M5 but it all changed the moment I had a glance at the press release and brochures presented to me upon arrival at the Naza Automall.

Supposedly aimed at giving the Mercedes-Benz GLC a go, the new DS7 Crossback’s RM199,888 price tag makes it a more viable competitor for the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA but here’s the thing, there is just no competition.

Because the equipment list, features and offerings of the DS7 just trumps its German counterparts. The best part is, not only does it match up to the Germans with its features but the DS7 distinguishes itself with flair.

Take the front end for example, not only does it get LED headlamps, DRLs, and fog lights with cornering function, the headlamps fixtures literally “perform a dance” upon starting the engine! Check out the video and find out what else makes the DS7 such an interesting prospect!
